Ancaster (Springfield) Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1966.
There are a large number of members who fire a variety of firearms ranging from .22" small-bore rifle to gallery rifles and black-powder firearms on the club's own ranges at Ancaster in Lincolnshire. Members also shoot full-bore rifles such as the 7.62mm target rifle and high-powered sporting rifles on military ranges such as Beckingham.
There are three ranges at Ancaster as shown above. The main Charlestown range is used principally (but by no means exclusively) for small-bore rifle, and has been used for the Lincolnshire SBRA Championships. The two smaller ranges are ideal for pistol, gallery rifle and sporting rifle
The club has a well-equipped clubhouse and ample car parking space, and is situated a short distance from Ancaster Station.
